Minimum set of items in the traveler’s first aid kit

Tourists are set up for rest and positive emotions when going on a trip. Unfortunately, bad feelings, infections and injuries can spoil your vacation. Properly assembled first aid kit is health insurance and a significant part of luggage. Pay particular attention to the items and medicines you need to take on your trip.
Gastrointestinal products
New products and overseas delicacies may hastily affect the body. Sorbents and enzymes are mandatory in the tourist aid kit to ensure proper digestion.
Analgesics
A headache or toothache comes as a surprise. Take a suitable painkiller and a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, e.g. based on metamizole (analgine), ketorolac, nimesulide.
Antipyretic
Overheating and infections easily cause an increase in body temperature. Ibuprofen or paracetamol will help the tourist. It can be pills, instant powders, syrup. Remember to take a thermometer to measure your body temperature. It should be an electronic and infrared thermometer: many airlines prohibit the transportation of mercury thermometers.
Antiemetic
Take anti-emetics with you, even if you are not prone to seasickness.
Antihistamines
Allergy pills and ointments are an important part of the first aid kit. Inappropriate food and insect bites can make the body behave unpredictably. It is a good idea to have an antihistamine agent in an ampoule and a sterile syringe with a needle if you are allergic. Remember: you must take the needles in your luggage.
A minimum first aid kit is necessary when you travel by car. Read more about things that will make your auto journey easier here.
Antiseptics
Take Chlorhexidine, iodine, hydrogen peroxide in the first aid kit (3% solution allowed on the plane, not more than 100 ml per passenger). Antiseptic and antibacterial wipes have become the number one trend due to the pandemic.
Bandaging material
The first aid kit should have a bandage, cotton or cotton wool disks, and an antibacterial patch.
Means for wound healing
Cuts, burns and other injuries are not that rare. Bring an ointment or cream to heal wounds and burns.
Remember that you cannot bring some medicines in certain countries, such as the UAE. Check the list of permitted and prohibited drugs in advance so that you do not find yourself in an unpleasant situation.
A first aid kit is an important part of every traveler’s luggage. Do not be lazy to pick it up responsibly.
